FINALLY! We have a fresh and engaging voice to cover the Hawkeyes. And by "fresh and engaging" I mean "old, cantankerous, and cynical"; i.e. *exactly* my fetish. I was so eager to subscribe and rejoin a community that I even went to the trouble of switching my display name to one familiar with you all despite the fact that I'm going to get some funny looks on my other Substack communities (well not really for that reason, more because I sure as shirt don't want all you yahoos knowing my actual name).
A couple of key questions/items about the new digs:
1. Who do I talk to about getting all my GIA Awesome Points ported over? Can't give up that sweet, sweet rep score life.
2. If there isn't a poorly sung, off-key musical intro, WE RIOT!
Thanks for coming back. And FWIW, I really like the whole paying for content thing. Because it forces me to read the things I pay for which leaves less time for the things I really hate myself for reading like X/Twitter. Plus, I have so many good memories of talking to my hawkeye friends about something you wrote. Keep up the good work young man!

When are the HS bike jerseys coming out?
It is cruel that you would resume writing the day after Gary Barta "retires". I desire a Gary Barta retrospective.
Oh, that is coming, and right quick.
Can I dare to dream a City Boyz Inc-esque “In Memoriam” video set to the dulcet tones of Boyz II Men’s “It’s So Hard, To Say Goodbye”?
